I entered into a discussion on a local gun forum for residents in and around my state recently. It was centered on the Yeager video. The general population there was ripping the guy a new one. These are “gun people” who do not understand what is happening.
Read and understand that not nearly all of the 100million will step off the porch. III% looks to be a trend.Me in blue, others in red.
Usually I love this forum for the common sense most people seem to posses….
But WTF people? Seriously? You sesame NOTHING wrong with a firearms instructor posting direct threats of death on the Internet? You SERIOUSLY think that won’t grab some attention and have legal consequences?
It’s not freedom of speech, there are laws against communicating threats.
C’mon people, a little common sense…
Our founders “posted” direct threats. The lack of understanding of how this country was formed is disheartening at times.
Exactly whom are you accusing of the lack of understanding? I fail to see how a lack of agreement with your point of view is equivalent to ignorance about our history.
Read the thread, you should see a post directly above mine where a person mentioned direct threats. As to your question, anyone who would not understand the correlation between the events leading up to the first revolution and the current events would seem to have a poor understanding of such. While I am not at all impressed with Mr. Yeager usually, his willingness to speak with directness what needs to be conveyed to this corrupt federal regime is commendable. The time for pleasantries is over, they mean to have us disarmed and if that is not reason enough to state your position and actions you will take if they attempt it, where do you stand? Would you wait until they systematically destroy the entire BOR? While the man may be a tool, what he did in the first video is something every one of us should be willing to do. This is not a PR campaign, we lost that long ago. It is a fight for survival now. In or Out?
His posturing is no better than the political posturing he’s criticizing. You are commending a man for what he is saying, and disregarding the consequences of what he is doing. The best determination of where a man stands, is not what he says, but what he does when the time comes. I’m not wasting time telling anyone what I intend to do, I will be happy to demonstrate what I plan to do when the time comes. Talk is cheap, I’m more impressed by those who put their money where their mouth is… If you are impressed by tough talk, good for you. I’m not too impressed by Mr. Yeager’s transition from tough talking badass to lawyered-up apologist. If that’s your thing, more power to you.
Your Tenet that you will let your actions do your talking instead of speaking out and showing others that you are willing to stand is a standard argument and while you very well may mean it, it rings hollow to me. If you are not willing to speak of treason, you probably will not actually commit it.
Yeah, sometimes threatening and meaning what you say DO impress me.
I wonder how many “patriots” thought Patrick Henry should STFU and stop making bold statements about what he was willing to do?
“Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings.”
Talk IS NOT CHEAP when you are making a stand and trying to sway others to man up. It may in fact cost plenty. (I posted the below video)
Good grief guys….
Some of the people in this thread are what gives gun owners a bad name in today’s world.
Care to elaborate?
What in fact gives gun owners a bad name is public opinion based on lies and fact manipulation by people who “good gun owners” cow to and try to not offend. There was a time when all men understood the concept of individual liberty and the responsibility of it. Saying publicly what your stand is was once the hallmark of a man with honor, now it is looked at with disdain because it might be seen as rash in “today’s world”.
There were people who owned guns who sided with the British, owning a gun does not make you a Patriot. We will never win the minds of those that now wish us to be disarmed, their minds are made up. We MAY by public speaking sway those who are on the fence to take a stand, just like Patrick Henry and countless others did. Pamphlets were published, speeches were given and many kitchen table talks engaged in. If you are worried what “they” think, you will never step off the porch when it counts.
Now I know, arguing on the internet…..
What I want you to see is that we are NOT all of the same stripe just because we own a firearm. Some will fold like a house of cards when the order to be disarmed is given. Know where your friends are, know where your help WILL come from and don’t assume because your neighbor hunts that he will shoot the lead man in the stack coming through your front door.

I feel thay there will be many like those in your post.
These are the ones who will snitch out those of us who are taking a stand and fighting.
They have no concept of what 2A means nor do they care to educate themselves.
