Sunday Morning Rant

Posted: November 18, 2012 in Blog Posts

I seem to be in a bit of a sour mood today. I overslept….I never over sleep. I usually bounce (ok, crawl) out at 5:30 or so and today I blinked my eyes open about 8:45. This has caused me to miss worship service and jacked up my routine. I have certain things I like to do every morning like check the fire, make coffee, eat some eggs and check for squirrels with my dog. My male Jack Russell(Special Agent Jack Bauer) loves to look for squirrels in the big oak out back, it’s a thing we do every morning. My point is, we are creatures of habit.

As such, we begin to be predictable beings. Patterns emerge and others can predict our behavior. Think about that for a moment. Everything we do from when we leave for work to when we turn out the lights can be patterned. What is the first thing a good hunter does when trying to nail the big one? That’s right, he patterns the animal’s movements.

Think about it and be aware of how easily you could make it easy for a pig or weasel to ambush you and yours.

I am sick to death of the negative comments from pundits about Israel defending itself. Whether you are a fan of them or not, if rockets were to rain down on your house you would be ready for a little offensive movement on your behalf. I think Gaza should be turned into a wasteland and be done with all the petty crap. There, I said it. End it and move on. Leave them alive and in a year will be back to rockets. Sometimes you just need to kill folks. Hard, yep. We are in a hard age.

This whole treasonous mess of Benghazi will be swept under the rug and life will go on. BO will move on as if nothing happened and nobody will question a thing. These are not the droids you are looking for…….

Unions killed Twinkies. My wife who is a huge fan, is crushed.

Christmas sales and the idiots who worship “stuff” are out in force. People are camping out already for black Friday sales. I am just in awe of the stupidity. One guy said on national TV that he was glad to be able to “provide” for his family by camping out at Best Buy. Really? Missing work, being away from the very kids you claim to love is “providing for them”? Buying them crap and teaching them that stuff is more important than they themselves are? Nice.

The realization that this may be the last Thanksgiving of this paradigm is not lost on me. We will probably not make it til the summer without a major shift. Enjoy your family and drink in these days. They may help to keep you moving in much darker times.

Thanks for letting me vent on this grey Sunday. Keep pushing. -55six
